RESTORATIVE FOLLOW UP

first visit - week 1

Without removing the temporary, evaluate and adjust the occlusion if necessary. Try to provide the patient with group function. The occlusion in the anterior region should be light, with most of the occlusion on the posterior and between the implants. Evaluate that the soft tissues are closing well.

Remind the patient about the soft diet protocol and make sure that hygiene protocols are being followed.

Continue to manage patient expectations and remind them that the final restoration will be much thinner and will have molars on each side.

You should expect swelling and bruising during the first week to ten days. The patient may experience irritated lips and throat with numbness, tingling in the mandible, and light stabbing in the maxilla.

It is to be expected that your patient's lower jaw may not immediately find an accurate position. This could contribute to tooth breakage if not addressed. You may want to provide your patient with a night guard.

second visit - Week two

This appointment is similar to the first one.

Ask the patient about their experience and address any concerns they may have.

third visit - week four

This is your last appointment before beginning the restorative process. Ask your patient about their experience and address any concerns they may have. Evaluate VDO, incisal display, smile, midline, occlusal plane, and occlusion.

Record all corrections on the Allure Dental Studio 3-Step RX provided to you when you started the case. Have your patient share their esthetic needs and record them on the RX.
